Celandine is one of the first plants to show its flowers before the leaf canopy excludes light. For me the sight of these flowers means Spring has arrived. It's a short lived display though as It starts to die back in May and remains dormant for the rest of the year. I always feel a sadness when these little bright flowers leave the scene.
