Finally the mozzies give up and the midges are gone, now I can continue what I started with in April. Just a little throwback I need a headlamp at 7 pm to find my lost tools in the garden;-) Late September and early October are too colourful to describe with words, only paintings and music can reflect the Magick of Indian Summer
Love this photo! Until the age of fourteen, I believed my birthday was in October. Then, I discovered my birthday was in June, a day after the solstice. I was four months older than I thought. Then, my fifth daughter was born on my 'old' birthday. It wasn't the wrong date, they just got the child wrong!
My cat died on September 30, at the age of 20 years and one day. He was born as autumn was deepening, and died after enjoying one last summer; his last day was spent peacefully sleeping in the garden, in the September sunshine. It all seems appropriate - though heart-wrenching. A Life completed.
Just love the colours & sounds of Autumn, walking through fallen leaves, or the low, end of summer sun, filtering through a woodland. It’s Magical!
